'. . . . . . . . . ! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ~() Section 4 - Project Team and Staff Throughout the years BCC has forged an outstanding reputation for providing quality services that meet client needs and exceed expectations. Our firm has the ability and the technical resources to provide the majority of the services requested in the City's RFQ. The firm and, its principals and staff have the depth, knowledge and experience the City is looking for in its consultant. BCC has a total of 28 employees that are trained to provide sound engineering solutions in a professional and cost-effective manner. --- 4.1 Project Staffing General Engineering Services Agreements require a Project Manager (PM) with proven design experience that will manage each individual assignment, deliver them on schedule, and is familiar with local Standards, Specifications and Procedures. BCC's Project Manager will be Mr. Manuel Benitez, PE. His experience, as well as the experience of the key members of our Team, is summarized on the following pages. In assembling the staff, we not only looked at the special technical capabilities of each individuals, but also their current and projected workload and availability. The staff being proposed to the City will be committed to for the duration of the contract. BCC Team member's current workload ensures that we can easily provide the staff-hours required to service this contract. 4.1.1 Pro,ject Manager Our Project Manager, Mr. Manuel Benitez, P.E. is a principal of the firm and will have responsibility for the overall management and technical direction of the contract. Mr. Benitez has recent project management experience on design contracts for the Florida DOT, the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority and Miami-Dade County Public Works Department. His experience managing General Engineering Services agreements include: . Construction Engineering and Inspection Services for the Miami-Dade County DERM - Managed field inspection teams working for the Department of Recovery and Mitigation. County- Wide assignments included: Beach Renourishment, Canal Dredging and Clean- . up, Roadway Construction and Drainage Improvements, and Drainage Clean-Out. . District-wide Minor Design for Consultant Management - Project Manager for general engineering services contract for roadway improvements. $1.5 million contract with multiple work orders. Assignments to date have included: milling and resurfacing and ADA improvements for a 1 mile segment of Normandy Drive, Traffic Signal Improvements to 10 signalized intersections along NW /NE 16ih Street, and Milling and Resurfacing, Drainage Improvements, and ADA and Signal Improvements for a 2 mile segment of SR 7 / US 441. . MDX General Engineering Consultant - Provided construction phase services for system wide improvements. Responsible for the review of structural shop drawings, product approvals, and repair recommendations for projects under construction, including: 1) Girder Erection Plans and Steel Repair Plans for steel box girder bridges on the SR 836 Extension, 2) Toll Plaza Structures and Sign Structures for the SR 836 WB Toll Plaza, 3) Miscellaneous bridge joint repairs, 4) Bridge painting and concrete repairs for SR 836 7300 N Kendall Drive I Suite 660 I Miami, Florida 33156 t. 305.670.2350 Page 7 of 14
