<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA <br />REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS NO. 07-08-01 <br /> <br />PROFESSIONAL DESIGN SERVICES FOR <br />THE HERITAGE PARK & PARKING GARAGE <br /> <br />1.1 INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Pursuant to the Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act, Section 287.055, Florida <br />Statutes, ("CCNA") the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, (the "City") a municipality located <br />in Miami-Dade County, Florida, requests qualified professional engineering and/or <br />architectural consultants ("consultants") to submit letters of interest and statements of <br />qualifications and experience, including Standard Form 330, to act as the City's consultants. <br /> <br />The City intends to execute agreements with the consultants to provide design services for <br />the Heritage Park, including the Parking Garage. This is a three (3) acre facility bounded by <br />Collins Avenue on the east, Lehman Causeway on the south, Gallahad-Dade Road (193rd) on <br />the north, and the Ocean View residential development on the west. <br /> <br />PARKING GARAGE: <br />The garage must accommodate at least five hundred (500) parking spaces meeting minimum <br />City Codes in four (4) levels of parking (including the ground level). Parking will be allowed <br />on the top (open) level. A driveway entrance from Gallahad Dade Boulevard will be <br />required. The structure's foot print should not exceed one (1) acre and is anticipated to be <br />approximately one hundred and twenty-five (125) feet by three hundred and fifty (350) feet. <br /> <br />PARK FACILITIES: <br />The City has applied for a grant through Florida's Community Trust (FCT). Successful <br />vendor should demonstrate a successful track record of having designed and developed <br />outdoor recreation space consistent with FCT requirements. The expected Park amenities <br />may include but are not limited to: <br /> <br />Bocce Courts (2) <br />Toddler Playground <br />5-12 Playground <br />Quarter Mile (minimum) Walking Path <br />Picnic Pavilions (2) <br />Picnic Tables <br /> <br />Benches & Trash Receptacles <br />Potential Splash Pad Playground <br />Open Play Area <br />Landscaping <br />Art Feature Area <br /> <br />The following is the park project summary verbiage that was submitted to the state in a grant <br />application.
