He <br />spent the first thirteen years of his career working for the Florida Department of Trans- <br />portation (FOOT) District VI internal design office on the production of roadway plans <br />from minor design to major reconstruction projects. During the last two years of his ca- <br />reer at FOOT, he worked as District VI Roadway Design Project Manager where he <br />was head of an Internal Design Team working on a large number of milling and resur- <br />facing and reconstruction projects. He's working today as the Roadway & Infrastructure <br />Task Manager for the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC). He is a 1985 graduate of Florida <br />International University with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. He is currently a <br />member of the Cuban-American Association of Civil Engineers (C-AACE). <br /> <br />KEY PROJECTS: <br /> <br />MIAMIINTERMODAL CENTER MIAMI, FLORIDA <br />Client: FDOT District VI (Gary Donn, P.E. (305) 470-5145). Roadways and Infrastruc- <br />ture Task Manager for the MIC Management Group. In charge of the development of <br />Drainage and Utility Master Plan for the 1.3 billion dollar projects. Also in charge of co- <br />ordinating all the development of all the Roadway Plans, including Geotechnical, Sur- <br />vey, and Right of Way. Responsible for coordination with all different agencies having <br />projects in the area like MDX, Miami Dade County Public Works, City of Miami, Miami <br />International Airport etc. <br /> <br />MIC TERMINAL ACCESS ROADWAYS (MTAR) MIAMI, FLORIDA <br />Client: FOOT District VI (Gary Donn, P.E. (305) 470-5145). Engineer of Record for the <br />development of the Roadway Construction Plan for this new road to provide access to <br />the proposed Rental Car Facility. The project is located just east of the Miami Interna- <br />tional Airport and includes a new system of ramps to connect the Rental Car Facility with <br />LeJeune Northbound and Southbound and the Central Blvd. / Miami International Air- <br />port Interchange. MTAR, in conjunction with the LeJeune Road corridor project will fa- <br />cilitate a seamless connection between the MIA, RCF and future MIC Core with SR-836 <br />and proposed MDX Interconnector. Design started on November 2001 and ended De- <br />cember 2004. <br /> <br />SR 821/ SW 8TH STREET INTERCHANGE MODIFICATIONS AT THEFLORIDA <br />TURNPIKE <br />Client: Florida Turnpike (Cheryl Doherty, Project Manager (407) 532-3999). Engineer <br />of Record for this project. Prepared Construction Documents (Plans and Specifications) <br />for a new southbound HEFT exit ramp that extends approximately 1 mile to westbound <br /> <br />CIVIL ENGINEERING SERVICES TO DESIGN STREET AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS . <br />
