City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br />Marine and Coastal Professional Engineering Consulting Services (CCNA) | RFQ No. 18‐02‐01 <br /> <br /> <br />Aptim Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc. <br />48 <br />01C032018D <br /> <br />with agencies, designed and calculated volumes of the dune fill templates, and produced a set of construction plan drawings <br />on an expedited schedule. <br />The truck haul project was constructed over three days in February of 2013. Approximately 2,500 cy of sand were hauled from <br />E.R. Jahna’s Ortona sand mine and delivered to the northernmost public access at Delray Beach. Eastman Aggregates, Inc. <br />placed the sand on the dry beach and graded it into sloping dunes along 970 linear feet of beach between R‐176 and R‐177. <br />Delray Beach before and after construction (2013). <br />During construction, APTIM engineers provided continuous construction oversight. The on‐site observer constantly monitored <br />sediment quality and verified that fill placement met the design template. APTIM collected weight tickets and tracked <br />delivered quantities for payment. During demobilization, APTIM engineers were able to ensure that the contractor returned <br />the access and staging area to its original condition. <br />25.
