Project Title: <br />Garden Acres Neighborhood Improvements, Oakland Park, Florida <br />c. Description of Work performed, including the project location: <br />Garden Acres was a single-family residential neighborhood approximately with an area <br />of approximately 24 acres. The new drainage system consists of 4” deep roadway <br />swales, drainage pipes and structures, exfiltration trenches and two controlled <br />discharge points into an existing drainage system located within the NE 6th Avenue <br />right-of-way. The roadway swales help with the storage and convey the runoff from the <br />roadway and the house lots. The swales and exfiltration trenches handle the water <br />quality volume generated by the roadway right-of-way area. CTA analyzed the system <br />using ICPR software. CTA provided design, permitting and CEI services for the project. <br />The roadway restoration consisted of 4,985 linear feet of roadway. The drainage <br />system consisted of 2,136 linear feet of storm sewer, 4,171 linear feet and of <br />exfiltration trench. The project also included major roadway, water and sanitary sewer <br />improvements. The water improvements consisted of 5,591 linear feet of 6” diameter <br />main, and 962 linear feet of 8” diameter main. The sanitary improvements consisted of <br />7,045 linear feet of 8” diameter sewer, 218 linear feet of 4” d iameter forcemain, and <br />1,044 linear feet of 6” diameter forcemain.
