In addition to management of multiple projects, <br />responsible for overseeing design, commitment to schedule and meeting budgets for multi-facetted <br />improvement projects. Projects include programs to provide water and wastewater improvements to <br />existing neighborhoods served by septic systems and without adequate fire protection. Areas served <br />include a mixture of single family, multi-family, commercial, office and industrial uses. In addition to <br />utilities, improvements included streetscape, landscape, drainage, roadway re-alignment and traffic <br />calming. <br />Broward County Neighborhood Improvement Projects, Broward County - Four individual neighborhood <br />improvement projects ranging from 900 to 1600 acres each. Prepare models to identify areas of <br />inadequate fire protection, sewer collection, and drainage. Utilize models to design upgrades to water, <br />force main, lift stations, and drainage. Improvements include re-grading of roadways and landscaping. <br />Traffic Calming at the Intersections of 123rd Street & NW 1st Court, 123rd Street & Miami Court, NW 139th <br />Terrace & NW 5th Court | North Miami, Florida | Project Lead - The project involved the development of <br />designs for traffic calming features along NW 123th Street and NW 1st Court, NW 123rd Street and NW <br />Miami Court, and 139th Street NW 5th Court in the City of North Miami. These intersections had large of <br />expanses of pavement without traffic control and therefore required the impleme ntation of traffic calming <br />features. CTA design elevated intersections, removed pavement and introduced curbing to reduce <br />speeds. <br />Government Center Commercial Alleyways 2” Watermain Replacement | North Miami Beach, Florida | <br />Project Manager - As with many eastern Miami-Dade municipalities, North Miami Beach has an aging and <br />undersized water distribution system. The City has embarked on a program to install & upgrade new <br />watermain at various locations within their services area. The City hired Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc. <br />to survey, design, permit and provide construction engineering and inspection services for the upgraded <br />Government Center system including: 4,830 linear feet of 4” dia. main, 67 water services, and 12 gate valves <br />along with 2,800 SY of pavement restoration. <br />Honey Hill Water System Betterment | North Miami Beach, Florida | Project Manager - As with many <br />eastern Miami-Dade municipalities, North Miami Beach has an aging and undersized water distribution <br />system. The program <br />includes analysis, modeling and design for improvements to water and wastewater facilities in meeting a <br />comprehensive plan in response to expanded demand and service areas. <br />Port Everglades Utilities Analysis, Broward County, Florida <br />Collect data and create model for use in analyzing network of public lift -stations and force mains. Model <br />utilized for analysis of existing capacities as well as adaptability of individual lift stations and force mains <br />for future expansion. Compiled list of alternatives for remediation of inadequate service levels and <br />proposed recommendations for short term and long-term solutions based upon performance, cost, and <br />constructability. <br />F | Page 12
