Contractors, conduct and attend pre-bid meeting, respond to <br />questions during bidding, conduct and attend bid opening, prepare <br />bid tabulation and recommend Award of Contract. <br />B. Phase I1. Construction Management; Construction <br />Engineering <br />1. Task 7: Engineering Services During Construction <br />Consultant will perform customary Engineering Services during the <br />Construction Phase of the Project. Such services shall include but <br />may not be limited to the following; <br />• Assist with Execution of Contract Documents -assist Owner <br />and coordinate with the Contractor in execution of the Contract <br />Documents between Owner and the Contractor. <br />- Engineer shall issue a Notice to Proceed (NTP) including, <br />coordinating and attending the Pre -Construction Conference. <br />• Engineer will investigate, study and determine acceptability on <br />any proposed substitutions of material or equipment in <br />accordance with the contract Documents. <br />Prepare and administer Change Orders <br />• Provide technical advice and assistance to Village during the <br />construction period. <br />Provide necessary interpretations and clarifications of the <br />contract Documents. <br />- Receive and respond to RFls related to technical interpretation <br />of the drawings and specifications and requested changes to the <br />work. In accordance with the construction contract documents, <br />• The Professional Engineer will observe the project at a <br />minimum interval of every two weeks. Design Engineers will <br />observe the project at intervals appropriate to the various <br />stages of construction to observe site conditions and the Work <br />to determine whether the work is in general conformance to the <br />251 <br />
