<br />Our Lead Permitting Engineer Tim Blankenship P.E. will be responsible
<br />for processing all environmental permits associated to the method
<br />of discharge implemented. Tim brings over 20 years of experience
<br />in the civil and coastal engineering fields. His broad range of
<br />experience includes projects involving waterfront facility assessment
<br />and rehabilitation design, bridge engineering projects involving
<br />structural design and hydraulic analysis/design; land development
<br />projects including drainage design and environmental permitting
<br />and construction phase services for large and complex civil projects.
<br />He has extensive experience with civil engineering projects in South
<br />Florida. These projects include paving, grading and stormwater
<br />management systems for streetscape, public parks, and site
<br />development projects. The projects have included water and sanitary
<br />connection and distribution design along with coordination with local
<br />agencies such as Miami-Dade WASD. Mr. Blankenship has managed
<br />the preparation of construction document packages for multi-
<br />discipline trades including architectural, civil, environmental, electrical
<br />and mechanical engineering trades. Mr. Blankenship has extensive
<br />infrastructure experience throughout the Coastal Communities
<br />including Sunny Isles Beach and over the past 15 years Tim has been
<br />heavily involved in planning and designing public space (including
<br />parks, bay walks, and oceanfront beach paths), beach nourishment,
<br />bulkheads, and streetscape projects.
<br />Our Lead Land Surveyor Eduardo (Eddie) Suarez, PSM. Will be the
<br />survey of record for the job. Eddie has been in the Land Surveying
<br />profession in South Florida for the past 30 years. Eddie oversees the
<br />daily operation of Longitude Surveyors, LLC, and the preparation
<br />of a wide variety of projects and surveys with a diverse array of
<br />clients for both, the public and private sector. Mr. Suarez has served
<br />as Principal-in-Charge for hundreds of Boundary and Topographic
<br />Surveys including Sunny Isles Beach. Since its inception, Longitude
<br />Surveyors has served as a Prime or Sub-Consultant for the following
<br />entities: City of Miramar, Village of Pinecrest, Miami-Dade County,
<br />City of Miami, City of Miami Beach, City of Coral Gables, Village of
<br />Key Biscayne, Village of Palmetto Bay, Town of Cutler Bay, City of
<br />Homestead, City of Doral, Miami Shores, North Miami, North Miami
<br />Beach and El Portal.
<br />Our Lead Geotechnical Engineer Rafael Pina, PE has over 25 years
<br />of geotechnical engineering, project management, construction
<br />materials testing and
<br />inspection experience in
<br />projects throughout Florida
<br />including the Coastal
<br />Communities. His experience
<br />includes: site reconnaissance
<br />visits for proposal and
<br />report preparation, proposal
<br />preparation for geotechnical
<br />investigations, supervision of
<br />both field testing, sampling
<br />and drilling activities
<br />geotechnical engineering
<br />evaluation and analysis,
<br />preparation of reports,
<br />plans and construction
<br />documents, and construction
<br />inspection and oversight on
<br />a wide variety of projects.
<br />Technical expertise includes:
<br />subsurface exploration,
<br />laboratory testing,
<br />geotechnical analysis and
<br />engineering, deep and
<br />shallow foundation, ground
<br />improvement, slope stability, retaining wall systems, support of
<br />excavation, and geotechnical instrumentation monitoring. Project
<br />experience includes: water and sewer distribution projects, water
<br />and wastewater treatment facilities, roadways, highway bridges,
<br />transportation and utility tunnels, natural gas pipelines and
<br />trenchless crossings, marinas, sport venue facilities, parks, industrial
<br />facilities, high-rise buildings, low-rise structures, maritime port and
<br />airport facilities, and commercial developments. His construction
<br />materials testing experience includes overseeing technical personnel
<br />performing inspection, field testing and laboratory testing of
<br />concrete, soils, asphalt and other construction materials for roadways,
<br />airports and structures.
<br />Our Lead Hydrogeologist Roger Simon, PE has more than eleven
<br />years of experience in performing and evaluating Phase I and Phase
<br />II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), soil, air, and groundwater
<br />monitoring and remediation, well installation and abandonment,
<br />landfill gas (LFG) monitoring, petroleum storage system assessment
<br />and closure, soil classification techniques, subsurface characterization,
<br />and preparation of technical reports for compliance and land
<br />development.
