<br />CAS is the Consulting Engineer for the City of Sweetwater and has worked with them since
<br />December 4, 2000. CAS has provided engineering for services for city-wide stormwater/drainage
<br />improvements to alleviate historic flooding within the City.
<br />Projects Completed:
<br />Projects that CAS has completed for the City of Sweetwater in the past included Phase I & III
<br />Stormwater Improvements within a 225 acre area which consisted of 115 structures, 7,400 linear
<br />feet of drainage pipe ranging in size from 15 -inch to 72 -inch, 7,325 linear feet of force main
<br />ranging in size from 24 -inch to 48 -inch, four (4) duplex pump stations, roadway restoration and
<br />the complete reconstruction of 2,500 linear feet of NW 112th Avenue. Scope of services included
<br />survey, utility locates, FEMA grant applications, planning, design, cost estimates, preparation of
<br />construction plans and contract documents, permitting, bidding, construction management and
<br />full-time resident construction observation services, survey as-builts and certification through
<br />project closeout. The project began in February 2000 and was completed In December 2004
<br />within the accepted schedules and no liquidated damages. Design Cost (including Construction
<br />Management): $1,483,440. Construction Cost: $7,058,530. Key personnel included: Stephen C.
<br />Smith, P.E., Robert D. Keener, P.S.M., Orlando A. Rubio, P.E., Al Caruso, E.I., James Driscoll and
<br />Tony Gomes.
<br />Phase IV Stormwater Improvements within a 138 -acre residential area consisted of 130
<br />structures, 10,795 linear feet of drainage pipe ranging in size from 15 -inch to 72 -inch, 1,506
<br />linear feet of 30 -inch force main and two (2) triplex pumping stations (28 HP). Scope of services
<br />included surveying, utility locating, FEMA grant applications, planning, design, cost estimates,
<br />preparation of construction plans and contract documents, permitting, bidding, construction
<br />management and limited engineering services during construction. The $4.09M project began In
<br />May 2011 and was completed in August 2013 with no liquidated damages. The project received
<br />substantial HMGP funding from FEMA with CAS' grant writing assistance. Key personnel included:
